Clinton surrogates appear to be revving up to try to scare people about Bernie: He’s a socialist. Boo! Of course, Bernie is a Democratic Socialist, which in the American context translates into something like an FDR Democrat. He is certainly not a Marxist or a communist. He doesn’t challenge the value of markets. In many ways he is really closer to the soul of the Democratic Party than Clinton.
